His real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. He was born September 27, 1982 in New Orlean, Lousiana. According to Wayne he changed his name because he didn want to be named after his father, whose name was Dwayne also. Don't let looks fool you, Wayne was a straight a student but never felt his true intelligence was expressed through a report card. At 11, Wayne convince Cash Money lable to take him on. A year later in-house producer Mannie Fresh partnered him with 14 year old BG and dubbed the duo BGz. "True Story" has been accepted as the debut album for BGz. The 1997 the album "Chopper City" was supposed to be the follow up, but when Wayne accidently shot himself, it turned solo for BG.
